To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow,
Creeps in this petty place from day to day
To the last syllable of recorded time,
And all our yesterays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more; it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS

In no particular order. Or, well, in the order that they were added, I suppose.

The Lord of the Rings, J. R. R. Tolkien
Well, what can I say, it's gotta be on list.

The A Song of Ice and Fire series: A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows,
George R. R. Martin
Best ever. Must be read.

Gulliver's Travels, Johathan Swift
Ah, sweet childhood memories.

"The Rats in the Walls" and "The Colour out of Space", H. P. Lovecraft
Well, anything by Lovecraft, really.

Sherlock Holmes, Arthur Conan Doyle
That is, anything involving Sherlock Holmes.

The Three Musketeers, Alexandre Dumas
Loved it as a child. Heroism and swordfights. And damsels. Everything, really.

20.000 Leagues Under the Sea, Jules Verne
Another fond childhood memory. Terrific novel.

The Thursday Next novels: The Eyre Affair, Lost in a Good Book, The Well of Lost Plots, Jasper Fforde
Really cool, entertaining in more ways than one. A treat for literature lovers.

The End of Mr. Y, Scarlett Thomas
Totally weird, but worth reading.

FILM RECOMMENDATIONS

In no particular order. Or, well, same as above. Some are really good films, others I love anyway.

Fight Club
Violent, yes - but also amazing. Needs to be seen in its entirety.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Nothing needs to be said, does it? I love the book, too, and I think Jackson did really well.

The Star Wars Trilogy: Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi
The original, of course: episode III-V. Classics.

Lake Placid
Funny. Really funny. People might say that this is a really really bad film, but they are wrong. Really really wrong.

The Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy: Curse of the Black Pearl, Dead Man's Chest, At World's End
I adore these films. The first one is a really good film and I love it, the second is ok because it is Pirates (duh), and the third one is surprisingly good on its own merits.

Gladiator
Because it makes me cry. Happy and sad at the same time.

The Queen of the Damned
I just love it.

Tombstone
Classical western with darker undertones. And Wyatt Earp. Can't not love that.

The Mummy & The Mummy Returns
Just adoring. Egypt, mummies, hot Arabic mystery guys. Mmmmmmm.

Final Destination 1, 2 & 3
They're all worth watching, though surprisingly enough, the third is the best.

Eastern Promises
Russian mafia in London, what's not to like?
