ABOUT THIS PAGE

The design of this site is very strongly influenced by a free pagekit called "darkness" taken from ELATED.com / PageKits.com. I have, however, tweaked it to suit my purposes. After having learnt som HTML and CSS, I was still too much in love with the pagekit's design to be able to make a new one just as good. Therefore, though all the code for this site is written by myself, I was very much inspired by "darkness", and the design of this site is very very similar to that of "darkness". I admit to for example having cheated and used a few of the images, and to having peaked at the colouring used, but it us all written in html and css from scratch, in Notepad ++. I would like to think that my own design, albeit in some ways simpler, works just as well.

I hope the original designers, should they happen to stumble on to this site, forgive me for playing with their work, and rather feel flattered that they've made something so grand. In the readme-file they write: "The idea behind the Elated PageKits is that you can either use the ideas here as is, and develop them from our startpoints, or you can take the bits that you need and customise them for your own use. We hope you'll also find the PageKits educational." I have indeed learnt a lot.
